The trip through the Marlborough Sounds sure was picturesque - myriads of bush & tree-covered islands nestlings in the still clear blue-gree [mondetto]

Calm crossing from Picton to Wellington - hardly a swell. The wind only picked up as we got closer to Wellington (just arriving now) [mondetto]

I keep onseeing more & more worthwhile cases like that- a great charity for children, with huge numbers donating their time & energy towards [mondetto]

And then there's myriads of other grants given - e.g. For a hospice wanting books to help deal with death of children & their family members [mondetto]
|
|
|
Tonight I was talking about Variety NZ fundraising, & this year 3 Sunshine coaches will be given during the Bash - & 103 over the years!0 [mondetto]

|
|
Now on to auctions. Early start tomorrow - be at the bus at 6am! [mondetto]

I think I got the winery wrong - we're at the Montana Winery in Blenheim. Beef bourgignon & pumpkin pasta, etc. [mondetto]

|
Oh, and by the way we get to see lots snd lots of kids smile along the way as we hand out toys & candy & grants :). That's all part of the f [mondetto]

Absolutely perfect days. Glorious scenery. Fun, playful company. Good food. What more could one want? [mondetto]

Feels so good to have time for a shower before dinner at the winery. Definitely is getting warmer the further north we go. [mondetto]

after breakfast at Pohara Comunity Hall, opposite the beach, we're on our way up Takaka hill - spectacular views [mondetto]

|
|
And then we skipped the Bash dinner, having it instead out the back of the motel, followed by comedy at the hotel down the road. Another goo [mondetto]

|
|
Some of the team got the opportunity for a plane ride for an hour around Takaka - superb views of the bays and Farewell Spit [mondetto]
|

Lunch stop at Reefton - met by schoolkids , watching the fire engines have more waterfights [mondetto]

Drive thru Lewis Pass this morning - reminded me of Pacific Northwest, with tall pine-covered mountains, streams winding through the valleys [mondetto]

one vehicle had problems , but that hot sorted out. Have just had dinner at Hanmer Springs [mondetto]

a long & winding road thru the mountains to Hanmer Springs, on a lot of gravel roads. Superb views of fields & vineyards on the way [mondetto]

well that was fun - 20 fire engines in a waterfight! Now the vehicles are lining up to cross the start line & on our way to Hanmer Springs [mondetto]
