Daily Lifestream Digest for 2008-11-28

November 28th:

Yesterday
	5:17pm	Well apparently it’s 1C, heading for a high of 4C! Another brrrr day. And my feet are tired to start the day – sore walking even on carpet!
	5:19pm	I’ll visit Wendy briefly this morning, then not sure what. It’s my last full day here so have to make the most of it. First, brekky.
	6:36pm	oh I see the forecast has changed and it’s now going to be warmer – up to 6C! well heading out into the elements…
Today
	2:15am	Spent some time with Wendy this morning at her apartment, trying some of the gorgeous cake & sponge fingers & chocolate she had made.
	2:16am	The walked from there to the Arc de Triomphe (about 10 minutes walk away), then over to the Seine, to Musee Branly (saw the vertical garden)
	2:18am	then from there back to St Germain, to Rue de Buci. Now, not only do my feet hurt from blisters but they ache with every step.
	2:19am	I’ve had to get some drops – my eyes are red from cold breezes irritating them. it’s been cold again, particularly in open areas – the
	2:20am	back streets are better. Despite the physical ailments it has been another superb day in this amazing city. Now where to go for dinner for
	2:20am	my last main meal here? Will be leaving the hotel about noon tomorrow to head to the airport.
	2:22am	Apparently it’s 3C now, and it’s only 4pm. Any wonder it has felt chilly! There’s been low cloud most of the day, but now I can see little
	2:23am	blue sky up there, but the sun will be set by 5pm.
	2:26am	Wendy’s cakes this morning were amazing. The cake was a 3-chocolate layer mousse cake which melted in your mouth. The sponge fingers were
	2:27am	incredibly light. And the chocolates were a truffle (dark & rich) and one with almond in the middle.
	2:42am	Well I didn’t make it to Rue Cler, Montmartre, Les Puces de Ouens, the canals, and so many other places I’d like to see.
	2:42am	The cold has meant not sitting around in parks, but keeping moving to keep warmer.
	2:43am	But I have experience so many delights.. had lunch in a quaint bistro, had coffee on Place de la Contrescarpe, seen the lights at night,
	2:44am	seen some of the paintings I love at the Musee d’Orsay and the L’Orangerie, and so much more.
