We’re looking forward to traveling on the TGV high speed trains.  We will be traveling in one day from Milan to Paris (about 7 hours) then from Paris to St Pierre des Corps (near Tours) (about 1 hour), and then there will be another trip from St Pierre des Corps back to Paris. 

On the Milan-Paris-St Pierre des Corps day we will be going 1st class, and the other trip will be 2nd class.  That will be interesting to compare the two.

The trains travel up to 320 km/hr in commercial use, although in test use they have been clocked at 574.8 km/hr.
